Democide // Fair Tax //
Cameras in your house? Cameras in your car? Those that view that as fine since they nothing to hide, beware. Read R.J. Rummel's book Death by Government. All the information being gathered makes it easier for government to control and even kill you. The income tax lets them track who employs you, your co-workers, and how much you work. The 'Fair Tax' would be even worse as it would track you throughout the day by your purchases.

Gary Kreep // US Justice Foundation // Black Boxes // Smoking //
Gary Kreep joins Katherine again for a discussion of the latest assault on our privacy - that of our automobile. They discuss the passed US Senate bill that would mandate Black Boxes in all automobiles. This despite the question as to who owns the data and has access to it is still unsettled. Another prong of the assault is banning of smoking in cars. Remember Albrect's Law of Critical Mass - As soon as 80% of the population voluntarily participates in a liberty-reducing activity, the activity can easily be made mandatory. Examples cited by Katherine include toll transponders, cashless payments, loyalty cards, reading your email, GPS tracking, and the like.
